Dr. Schulman is a functional food and dietary supplement expert, professional speaker and writer with over 25 years in the industry. She is the founder of Tap-Root, a scientific consulting firm, and a senior advisor to Kaneka Nutrients. Dr. Schulman consults with prominent and pioneering food and dietary supplement companies and ingredient suppliers on scientific and regulatory affairs, product development and business strategy. An additional specialty is assisting companies shifting into these spaces from other industries or helping non-US companies launch products in the US. She also frequently collaborates with industry law firms, marketing firms and investment professionals.

Before starting her consulting practice, Dr. Schulman worked on the leadership teams of several industry icons, including POM Wonderful, Mars Botanical (a division of M&M Mars) and Solgar Vitamins, where she played a key role in the launch of breakthrough categories and products. Throughout her career she has been a contributor to trade publications, and a sought-after panelist and speaker, bringing thought leadership and making science accessible and exciting. She is very grateful for being a part of growing this wonderful industry, while it in turn grew her.
