Mary Purdy, MS, RDN is an Integrative Eco-Dietitian with a Master’s Degree from Bastyr University where she is currently adjunct faculty. She has been in clinical practice for over 13 years using a personalized medicine and functional nutrition approach. She has given 100’s of presentations, lectures regularly locally, online and at national health conferences and universities on both nutrition and sustainability, and was the keynote speaker at Bastyr University’s Commencement Ceremony 2019. She is part of the team at Dr. Jeffrey Bland’s organization Big Bold Health, focusing on balancing the immunity of people and planet. She serves on the board of The Planetary Health Collective, Hunger and Environmental Nutrition and Dietitians in Integrative and Functional Medicine which she chaired in 2018 and which awarded her the Excellence in Practice Award in 2020. Additionally, she hosts the podcasts “The Nutrition Show” and “The Good Clean Nutrition Podcast” and authored the books “Serving the Broccoli Gods” and “The Microbiome Diet Reset.” She is a trained Climate Reality Leader and a consultant working with organizations to create a sustainable, equitable and resilient food system that supports planetary health and helps to mitigate climate change.
