Devon Gholam, PhD

Devon Gholam is Vice President of Science and Innovation at Step Change Innovations, a sales accelerator for science-backed, branded ingredients in the functional food and beverage, nutraceutical, companion animal, and cosmeceutical and personal care industries.  She graduated from Purdue University with MS and PhD degrees in food science, specializing in food chemistry.  Devon’s career has touched on product development, applications, sales, technical sales, and technical writing at various companies like the Kellogg Company, Ganeden Biotech (now part of the Kerry Group), Roquette America, and Prepared Foods magazine.  At Step Change, she serves as the scientific storyteller, lending support to sales, marketing, and applications for ingredients in the food and nutraceutical industries.  Her areas of expertise include gut health ingredients, fibers, and proteins.  She is eager to share her knowledge in the industry and help foster an innovative and educational spirit within the nutraceutical community.
